The program we present is born from the dialogue between worlds that, despite being different, share the same creative pulse: the capacity of the Baroque to transform, reinvent itself and surprise. From the English refinement of Matthew Locke and Henry Purcell to the luminous virtuosity of Antonio Vivaldi, the first part of the concert brings us closer to a universe of scenic fantasy, where the dances, theatrical atmospheres and the famous Follia — reinterpreted today by the contemporary composer Paul Wiancko — reveal the enduring strength of the same spirit: that of imagination without limits.
In the second part, the music of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach opens the doors to a true stylistic metamorphosis. His concertos and symphonies, with bold gestures and rapturous contrasts, announce the decline of the Baroque and the birth of a new sensibility, freer, more intense, more emotional. Next to them, Vivaldi's concertos shine like previous generations that, far from fading away, continue to dialogue with the future.
This concert is, therefore, a journey between eras that listen to each other: a journey through the continuous transformation of European music, guided by the vital energy and virtuosity of Rachell Ellen Wong and Amarilis Dueñas, along with the characteristic sonority of historical instruments.
